Griffin Takes UFC Light Heavyweight Crown

Forrest Griffin gets the unanimous five round decision win over Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. The scorecards were 48-46, 48-46, and 49-46 for Griffin.

On paper, Jackson seemed to be better than Forrest in the physical aspects of the sport, but the win proves that heart and determination is as important as skills and conditioning.

I remember that Jackson's trainer stated a while back that he will retire if Jackson loses to Griffin. I guess Jackson now needs a new trainer.

Manny Pacquiao Captures WBC Lightweight Belt

Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao dethrones WBC Lightweight champion David Diaz with a knockout at 2:24 of the ninth round. I was amazed with David's ability to take Manny's power punches, but I guess it was just a matter of time when the PacMan would hit the right button on Diaz.
